TAPoR@UVic - Tapor Canada
TAPoR is a national human and computing infrastructure for text analysis comprised of six regional centres forming one common gateway to sophisticated analysis and retrieval tools and providing representative texts for experimentation. Regional centres include text research laboratories with best-of-breed software and full-text servers that are coordinated into a vertical portal for electronic text study. Each centre will be integrated into its local research culture, providing variation among centres. Based at McMaster University, the TAPoR project network includes six of the leading Canadian Humanities Computing centres: McMaster University, University of Victoria (in collaboration with Malaspina University College), University of Alberta, University of Toronto, Université de Montreal, and University of New Brunswick. The total TAPoR project budget is $6,784,740 with a CFI contribution of $2,629,223.
